Today’s world depends predominantly on fossil fuels for its energy supply, yet these fossil fuels also contribute to most of our global environmental challenges. These challenges will continue to increase as the world population increases and fossil fuel resources are reduced in both quantity and quality.
Accelerating advances in the sciences will likely meet our energy challenges, but only if those scientific breakthroughs can be implemented simply, broadly and at low economic, environmental, social and political cost.
Ciris Energy was formed to develop, commercialize and produce clean energy from abundant, low-value carbon sources, on a large scale. We are practical technology implementers, and primarily an energy production company.
